Thanksgiving Food Drive Assembly

Please join us for our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive Assembly project on Sat. Nov 22nd where we will take the food drive donations we’ve received and sort and package them into bags.
The packaging event will be held from 10:00 - noon on Saturday 11/22 here at our administrative office in Irvine.
In order to Mapquest directions, we are located at:
17875 Sky Park Circle, Ste D
Irvine, CA 92614
Last year’s group of volunteers were so dedicated to the task at hand that we moved through the project very quickly; so the opportunity may be finishing up if you arrive towards the end of the timeframe.
The assembly area is located outdoors, so please dress comfortably for that day’s weather and wear your sunscreen.
Due to the space we occupy, we are able to utilize approximately 40 volunteers for the day’s event. Because of this, if you are signing up a group, please RSVP only your confirmed number of volunteers.
Thank you so much for the generous donation of your time to help Orange County’s families and children. It is a wonderful gift that you give when you volunteer and we are grateful for your help. Please feel free to contact at Kristin@theraisefoundation.org if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Kristin Jefferson

The Africa Project

The Africa Project will host the fourth annual “WEEK OF THE AFRICAN CHILD” campaign, December 1st to 8th, in our community. This weeklong effort includes school and community assemblies and presentations throughout the week, the annual Youth Conference On AIDS, Saturday, December 6 from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm at the Lakeview Senior Center. This annual event is co-sponsored by the City of Irvine High School Youth Action Team and UCI AIDS Fundamentalists.
This is a great youth led conference that serves 250 students each year.
If you know of any high school students who may be interested, please let them know that they should register in advance. This is recommended since the conference always reaches capacity.
They may contact Shahrooz, Steve or me directly for more information.
